Scripture does not declare a number of years for the time period before the 3 1/2 year famine. Elijah was a prophet of God before the 3 1/2 years of famine occurred within Israel therefore we know that there was a time of testimony. This matches our previous time of the Church Age. A time of rain.

JUST AS KING AHAB DECLARED THE KING OF SYRIA HIS BROTHER AND HAD MERCY UPON HIM - A MAN GOD HAD APPOINTED TO UTTER DESTRUCTION, THE CHURCH TOO HAS WELCOMED THE "MAN OF PERDITION" AGAINST GOD'S WILL (2 THESSALONIANS 2:3-8 / REVELATION 17:11). THE WORD "PERDITION" MEANS UTTER DESTRUCTION. THE CHURCH CONGREGATION THEN FULFILLS THE REMAINING PART OF THE VERSE... "therefore thy life shall go for his life, and thy people for his people".

THIS REPRESENTS THE TALLY WITHIN THE CHURCH. THE 1/3RD OF THE THIRD. THOSE WHOM REMAIN AND HAVE THE MARK OF THE BEAST (REVELATION 13:16) & THOSE WHOM COME OUT DURING THE 6100 DAYS AND HAVE THE MARK OF GOD (REVELATION 14:1 / 22:4). NOTICE THERE WERE 3 GROUPS OF 50+1. TWO WERE JUDGED, ONE WAS SHOWN MERCY. HERE WE SEE THE FAMOUS 2/3RDS & 1/3RD (66.6% & 33.3%). THESE LAST 50+1 ARE SHOWN MERCY AND REPRESENT THE 3 HORNS (THE 3RD) THAT WERE PLUCKED OUT WHEN THE FIERCE LITTLE HORN (SATAN) CAME UP WITHIN THE CHURCH (DANIEL 7:8). THOSE WHOM WERE COMMANDED TO COME OUT OF HER.

NOTICE THAT EACH OF THE 50 SOLDIERS HAVE A CAPTAIN. THE FIRST 2 CAPTAINS COULD NOT SAVE THEIR SOLDIERS AGAINST GOD'S WRATH. BUT THE 3RD CAPTAIN ASKED FOR MERCY FOR HIS SOLDIERS AND RECEIVED IT FROM GOD. THIS 3RD CAPTAIN IS A REPRESENTATION OF JESUS. FOR WE SEE IN HEBREWS 2 THAT JESUS IS OUR CAPTAIN OF SALVATION!

For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

ANOTHER INTERESTING OBSERVATION IS THE FACT THAT THE THREE 50+1 EQUALS 153. THIS IS THE SAME NUMBER OF FISH CAUGHT WITHIN THE NET IN THE NEW TESTAMENT (JOHN 21:11), REPRESENTING THE TOTAL NUMBER OF THOSE THAT WOULD BE SAVED DURING THE CHURCH AGE WHICH WERE THE SYMBOLIC 144,000. IT SEEMS SAFE TO SAY THAT THE NUMBER 153 ACTUALLY HAS A MEANING OF A TOTAL SUM OR COMPLETE SUM. IF SO, THE 3 CAPTAINS WITH THEIR 50 WHICH EQUALS 153 WOULD REPRESENT ALL THE PEOPLE WITHIN THE CHURCH... THE TOTAL SUM. TO WHICH A THIRD ARE CALLED OUT THROUGHOUT THE 6100 DAYS.

SOMETHING ELSE TO PONDER. THESE 50+1 (51) THAT RECEIVED MERCY AND THAT HAVE LEFT THE CHURCH THROUGHOUT THE 6100 DAYS ARE ALSO WAITING FOR THE LORD WITHIN THESE 5100 DAYS. IS IT POSSIBLE THE LORD IS SHOWING US ANOTHER LINK BETWEEN THOSE "51" WHOM HAVE COME OUT AND ARE WAITING WITHIN THESE 5100 DAYS UNTIL THE RAPTURE? IT IS SURELY POSSIBLE AND THOUGHT PROVOKING.

12. AHAZIAH DIES/JEHORAM RULES... ending his 2 year co-regency with his father, Ahab (1 Kings 22:37-53 / 2 Kings 1:16-18)

Ahab dying/Elijah's fire/Ahaziah dying all occur within the final 6 months of 853B.C..

THIS IS JUDGMENT DAY (M21). SATAN'S CHANCE TO SWAY THE ELECT HAS FOREVER BEEN TAKEN AWAY, HE HAS LOST THE BATTLE. ALL WHOM GOD PLANNED TO SAVE, HAVE BEEN SAVED. SATAN HAS BEEN DESTROYED - GAME OVER (DANIEL 7:11).

FROM THE TIME THAT THE RAIN BEGAN UNTIL KING AHAZIAH'S DEATH IN 853 B.C. WAS A TOTAL OF 3.5 YEARS

3.5 YEARS BEFORE RAPTURE

PERIOD OF WAITING - 5100 DAYS

1. WE NO LONGER HEAR OF ELIJAH PROPHESYING. HE IS SILENT/WAITING UPON THE LORD

THE PERIOD OF TIME OF WAITING UPON THE LORD/RUNNING THE "RACE" (REVELATION 6:11 / DANIEL 11:33-35)

2. ELIJAH DECLARES A FINAL WARNING TO KING JEHORAM OF JUDAH BEFORE MAKING HIS TREK TO BE RAPTURED (2 Chronicles 21:12-15)

ALTHOUGH THERE WILL NOT BE ANOTHER WORLDWIDE CRY LIKE JUDGMENT DAY, THE ELECT WILL DECLARE THE FINAL WARNING THROUGH THEIR INDIVIDUAL LIVES

3. ALL THE PROPHETS KNOW THE DAY WHEN ELIJAH WILL BE TAKEN (2 Kings 2:1-5)

4. ELIJAH & ELISHA KNEW HE WAS TO BE TAKEN THAT DAY BUT KNEW NOT WHEN... FOR THEY WERE WALKING/TALKING AND ELIJAH WAS TAKEN UP IN A WHIRLWIND UNEXPECTANTLY

FROM THE TIME THAT AHAZIAH DIED UNTIL ELIJAH WAS RAPTURED IN 849 B.C. WAS A TOTAL OF 3.5 YEARS

The rain season is from Tishrei until Adar which is September/October to March/April. This equates to 6 months. We can understand why the Latter Rain began on Tishrei 1994. It appears the heavy rain that Elijah prayed for began on Tishrei, the last 6 months of 856 B.C..

Rain season

Heavy rain

_{1 Kings 18:41-46}And Elijah said unto Ahab, Get thee up, eat and drink; for there is a sound of abundance of rain. So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he cast himself down upon the earth, and put his face between his knees, And said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up, and looked, and said, There is nothing. And he said, Go again seven times. And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, Behold, there ariseth a little cloud out of the sea, like a man's hand. And he said, Go up, say unto Ahab, Prepare thy chariot, and get thee down, that the rain stop thee not. And it came to pass in the mean while, that the heaven was black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain. And Ahab rode, and went to Jezreel. And the hand of the LORD was on Elijah; and he girded up his loins, and ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.

From the last 6 months of 856 B.C. until King Ahaziah's death at the end of 853 B.C. = 3.5 years

Parralelling our three 3.5 part Final Great Tribulation

3.5 years of famine

We know for a fact that the famine/drought within Israel lasted for 3.5 years during Elijah's time period. As within other scripture the Lord shows us that the numbers 3 & 3.5 are equivalent to each other. The Old Testament declares it to have lasted 3 years (1 Kings 18:1) yet the New Testament goes into deeper detail and declares it lasted for 3.5 years (Luke 4:25 / James 5:17). But at this point we do not know the date at which it began nor of when it had ended. What we do know is that it began within King Ahab's reign (1 Kings 17:1). We also know that if the famine/drought began on the first month of the year - Aviv/Nisan (April/March), then the final six months would have ended on Ethanim/Tishri (September/October).

These 3.5 years of famine match our 2300 days ( "a time and times and the dividing of time", "a time, times and an half" , "forty and two months" = 3.5).

3.5 years of peace

The next 3.5 years began with the Lord declaring that He is the only true God by igniting the wet alter from heavenly fire, killing of the false prophets, ending the drought by rain, peace/safety within Israel and finally the deaths of both Israeli kings Ahab & Ahaziah. Lets go into more detail with each of these actions.

The wet alter fire/killing of the false prophets/drought ending - These three events all happened within the same day (1 Kings 18). They began where the previous 3.5 years had ended on Ethanim/Tishri (September/October). We can attest to this on four accounts... when the rain began, the name of the city to which they ran, the Latter Rain and the alter offering of the bullock.

1. Biblically, historically and statistically Ethanim/Tishri (September/October) is when the rainy season begins for the Middle East (Song of Solomon 2:11).

2. King Ahab & Elijah headed to the city of Jezreel as the rain began. Jezreel has a Hebrew meaning of "God will sow" (Strong's #3157).

3. Our final Latter Rain began on Ethanim/Tishri (September 7th, 1994 - the start of the 6100 days).

4. Scripturally, the bullock was offered as a sacrifice for a sin/peace offering (Leviticus 4:3/Exodus 24:5).

Peace and safety within Israel - Scripture declares that Syria attacked Israel sometime after Elijah's rain which appears to have occurred sometime within the beginning of the final 6 months of the year. Israel was protected by God (1 Kings 20:1). Then again attacked at the end of the year which is the beginning of the next year. God once again protects Israel (1 Kings 20:22&26-28). The Hebrew word used in both instances for "return of the year" (Strong's H8666) is always translated better within all other scripture concerning the year as, "after the year was expired" (2 Samuel 11:1 / 1 Chronicles 20:1 / 2 Chronicles 36:10). So, we see that it certainly appears that Syria returned the attack upon Israel at the end of the 6 months. Elijah's wet alter fire/killing of the false prophets/the rain ending the drought/Syria attacking twice all occurred within the first 6 months.

The next period of time we read within scripture is that Israel enjoyed no war from Syria for 3 years (1 Kings 22:1). When we add the first 6 months + the 3 years of peace we get 3.5 years.

Judgment of death for Israeli kings - But then there appears to be a confliction because we read within the rest of 1 Kings 22 that Israel warred against Syria in the 3rd year. There are two ways to view this matter.

1. Israel remained at peace without Syria attacking... because it was Israel whom was the aggressor this time.

2. There was no war for the first 6 months of the third year. King Ahab in league with King Jehoshaphat did not attack Syria until the 6th month or later. This would make sense because it is during this war that King Ahab dies. Then, as scripture declares his son Ahaziah dies later towards the end of the same year.

As we look to the chart to the right from Harold Camping's book, The Perfect Harmony of the Numbers of the Hebrew Kings, page 25 shows how King Ahab and his son King Ahaziah died within the same year of 853 B.C.. This equates to our recent Judgment Day of 2011. In fact it matches extremely well. Ahab/Ahaziah die at the same time Satan is "destroyed" at Judgment Day:

I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake: I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame.

Knowing this date of 853 B.C. allows us to backtrack and find the dates of when the 3.5 years of famine/drought began and ended.

The 3.5 year famine/drought began with the full years of 859, 858 & 857 B.C. and ended within the first 6 months of 856 B.C..

These 3.5 years of drought/famine match our 2300 Days ("a time and times and the dividing of time", "a time, times and an half", "forty and two months" - 3.5).

The next 3.5 years of peace & safety began with the final 6 months of 856 B.C. and ended with the full dates of 855, 854 & 853 B.C..

These 3.5 years of cleansing the Temple and peace & safety match our 6100 Days ("a thousand two hundred and threescore days" - 3.5).

3.5 years of waiting

Elijah's rapture did not follow King Ahaziah's death within 2 Kings 1. There was a 3.5 year span of waiting before he was raptured. For we read within 2 Chronicles 21:12 that Elijah warned King Jehoram of Judah of his wickedness and that his death would be the result of it. This is the final time that we hear of Elijah active within scripture. We must therefore conclude that after this warning in 849 B.C., his rapture occurred just as 2 Kings 2 revealed. But how can we surmise that the date of 849 B.C. was Elijah's warning to King Jehoram of Judah before his rapture? Scripture gives us a clue. As we see from page 23 from The Perfect Harmony of the Numbers of the Hebrew Kings (image to the right), 2 Chronicles 21:4 declares King Jehoram of Judah "was risen up to the kingdom of his father". Harold Camping did an excellent study showing how it must have been at this time that Jehoram must have killed his brethren to secure his position to which Elijah was declaring the Lord's curse upon him. As seen from the kings chart above this date was 849 B.C. which was his 5th co-regent year with his father Jehoshaphat (date circled).

Past confusion of Elijah's rapture time

2 Kings chapters 2-13 are all referring and focusing on Elisha's works and life. This is what has misled and confused previous students of the Word and why there appeared to be a confliction of Elijah's rapture date.

The 3.5 years of waiting began with the full years of 852, 851 & 850 B.C. and ended within the first 6 months of 849 B.C..

These 3.5 years of waiting match our 5100 days.

Each historical event 3.5 years long. Mirroring our Final Great Tribulation... or more accurately, ours mirroring Elijah's historical events.
